Our best bits from this month’s Love Our Wedding magazine – 16/11/2017

Brrrr! It’s got a bit cold all of a sudden! So we brewed up and allowed ourselves a cheeky half hour off to have a read of this month’s Love Our Wedding magazine. As always, free copies will be given to all our brides with appointments, until we run out!

Page 47 had us instantly interested – a beach honeymoon means that I’m trying hard to tone up (not really!) but there are some awesome easy to do moves which I should be able to fit in between appointments! Surely with these I’ll have that bikini body in no time?! Onto page 59 – you know all of us at Honeyblossom love monochrome, the pretty stationery ideas on this page are so cute! As always, there’s tons of great content in this magazine, but as we’re quickly writing this whilst we have a moment, our other favourite article this month starts on page 88 – begone sugared almonds! There’s some great ideas on these two pages for wedding favours. Our wedding favours didn’t make it to the list – but we had origami animals representing each person’s Chinese zodiac which we made ourselves. They proved a test of our patience as well as each other!

Watch our Christmas tree light switch on! – 12/11/2017

Mr Honeyblossom and I took a trip to Manchester Christmas markets on Friday and it made us feel all Christmassy, so there was only one thing for it – put the Christmas tree up! Have a watch of our switch on here:

Take a tour round Honeyblossom Bridal – 06/11/2017

We share lots of pictures on social media of our bridal boutique – but we decided to do a little video so you could have a little tour ahead of your appointment. Grab a brew (or vino/poison of your choice) and have a look below!

We’ve reached two social media milestones! – 25/10/2017

So we’re super excited to let you know that we’ve reached two awesome social media milestones! Firstly, we’ve reached 600 followers on Twitter, and not to be outdone, we’ve got to over 300 followers on Instagram!

November’s Love Our Wedding magazine has arrived in our Manchester bridal shop! Here’s our favourite bits – 13/10/2017

A free copy of November’s Love Our Wedding magazine is ready and waiting for all brides with an appointment at our Manchester bridal shop this month – until we run out!

This month’s magazine is full of super articles. Head to page 41 for the low down on pastel bridesmaid dresses for your big day. For our own wedding, we went for 4 different pastel shades to complement each of our bridesmaids so this is one close to our heart! Following on from that, we love the ‘Quirky details’ on page 93 onwards. I switched down to a pair of specially designed Nike trainers for the reception so I had no problem dancing the night away! We’ve also had a few brides recently tell us about the rise video guest books – particularly Marryoke!

Thinking about an overseas wedding? It’s certainly tempting giving all the horrid weather we’re currently having – page 111 gives you the top tips you need.

Last, but 100% not least, the Isabella bridal gown by Catherine Parry graces the pages of this month’s issue – we are so excited for her to arrive into our boutique in 2018!

Our highlights from October’s Love Our Wedding magazine – 22/09/2017

The newest edition of Love Our Wedding magazine has arrived! As always, there will be IMG_1639a free copy available to all our brides whilst stocks last.

We are actually in love with the colours on the cover, but the inside is just as good! Have a look at page 45 to find out top tips on wedding gown shopping – essential reading before hitting the bridal boutiques! When you’ve got the bridal dress, next on your list – make-up and something blue! Head to page 85 for three fabulous wedding day looks for inspiration. Page 93 has some great ideas for something blue – did you know all of our So Sassi bridal gown’s have a small blue bow sewn inside? Super cute! Our very own Rachel Chaprunne has some beautiful hair pins that can be customised in blue, such as Iris and Lilybeau.

What’s more, not one but two of the Catherine Parry wedding dresses we have arriving in our Manchester bridal shop in 2018 have graced the pages of this month’s edition – Isabella and Cara. Each has their awesome style and we can’t wait for them to arrive!

The results of wedding dress cleaning from Village Dry Cleaners, Chorlton – 15/09/2017

I’ve been a little slow at getting my wedding dress cleaned – I’m definitely guilty of putting other brides before myself! But finally, I got round to it. Now, I wasn’t particularly precious about my bridal gown on the day, I walked from the hotel to the ceremony, we strolled through Manchester’s Northern Quarter and China Town for pictures and I danced the night away until throwing out time! It’s fair to say that my dress was rather grimy by the end of the wedding, and I have to admit I was upset when I looked at my once beautiful wedding gown the next day! If you want an idea of the extent of what I’m talking about, here’s some evidence of a great wedding:

Obviously working in the industry, I know that wedding dresses can be cleaned, I’ve seen samples covered with makeup marks come out as new, but I was concerned that my dress seemed to have very dark oily marks on the skirt and train. Could I have ruined my dress permanently?!

I needn’t have worried, Amir at Village Dry Cleaners in Chorlton is a true professional. After talking me through the process, a few days later the results were in. My wedding dress had been cleaned, and well, it looks incredible. Below are the after pictures – it was as if those stains never existed! I’m so thrilled 🙂

Honeyblossom Bridal are of course proud to work alongside such brilliant vendors, and what’s more, Honeyblossom brides will receive a discount for their wedding dress cleaning! Ask us how when you’re in the boutique or send an email to honeyblossombridal@gmail.com. Oh and don’t leave it as late as I did – wedding gowns are easier to clean the sooner they are taken in!

All the gossip from The Harrogate Bridal Show – 14/09/2017

Ok so it’s my birthday today and so I decided to scoff a load of chocolates (its ok on your birthday, right?) and tell you all about The Harrogate Bridal Show on Monday.

So this year, all three of our wonderful British wedding dress designers So Sassi, Catherine Parry and MiaMia were there – it was wonderful to catch up with the designers and reflect on our most popular styles and of course….. see the new collections! All three designers have completely pulled it out of the bag again – their bridal gowns had luxurious fabrics, modern cuts, are totally fashion forward and 100% fabulous. As if we needed more confirmation that our designers are amazing, Marguerite Hannah, the designer for MiaMia, took away the prestigious Bridal Buyer Award for British Bridalwear Designer of the Year!

When are these super new wedding dresses arriving into our Manchester bridal shop I hear you ask? Well! We have some arriving in September, with the others in January, February and March. Keep an eye on our website, Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and Pinterest to see the stunning styles arriving!

Our highlights from the latest Love Our Wedding magazine – 24/08/2017

The latest Love Our Wedding magazines have arrived in our Manchester bridal shop! We couldn’t wait to sit down with a brew and have a good read. This month’s issue does not fail to disappoint. Have a look at page 17 onwards for a full guide on all the different wedding dress necklines – you can even learn some technical bridal terminology on these if you’d like!

Towards the back are some great tips on how to de-stress before the big day – super helpful for both brides and grooms alike.

All brides with an appointment can pick up a free copy of this wonderful magazine – whilst stocks last!

Blog feature – read all about us! – 05/08/2017

It’s not often we get to speak about us – we’re usually too busy with everyone else’s weddings! We did get a chance recently to chat to Mr and Mrs Darby – a wedding hire business, who have featured us in their blog! You can have a read of the article here.

We talk trends, what our most memorable weddings and some tips based on our own wedding day. So grab a brew, sit back, and have a read!

One year on… – 04/08/2017

We can’t believe that we were handed the keys to our unit a year ago – time has completely flown. It’s hard to imagine what it looked like before, so we thought we’d share a few pictures with you of the renovation project we had on our hands. It was a lot of fun, and we hope you like the results in our Manchester bridal shop as much as we do!

We’ve reached a Twitter milestone! – 03/08/2017

Please excuse our appearance – we’re still open! – 18/07/2017

Unfortunately whilst we were away some pesky workmen have removed our sign holder and ruined our green grass 🙁

Don’t worry brides, despite our appearance, our Manchester bridal shop is still open. We’re trying our best with the company responsible to get something re-instated ASAP.

Brides sign update – 22/07/2017

We have very sad news about our brides sign outside our Manchester bridal shop. It appears that a fibre cabinet will be installed on the area outside, and as work in ongoing, we cannot reinstate our sign. We’re totally gutted as we love our little sign 🙁 If you’re not sure where we are, please head to our Contact page.

Here’s a cute picture of our sign in it’s old place, sob!

Can you guess where we’ve been? – 17/07/2017

Sorry we’ve been quiet recently – we’ve been a little busy – we got married! We’ll be sharing some images of our special day soon. After the wedding, we jetted off for a break to celebrate Mr Honeyblossom’s 30th birthday. Neither of our brains are very far from wedding dresses of course, and this trip was no exception!

Can you guess where we’ve been?

Mr Honeyblossom papped at parkrun! – 25/06/2017

It’s no secret that Mr Honeyblossom loves nothing better than being out for a run – sadly he’s been recovering from a few injuries recently. After lots of physio, he ventured out to Stretford parkrun for the first time in ages – in merch of course!

Our friends over at Wedding Business Success spotted him and took this sneaky snap!

If you spot him out – do say hello (or send us more pap shots, we love it!) I know what you’re thinking – what’s my excuse?! Well I was busy with brides in the boutique of course 🙂

Real bride Kate works her veil! – 09/06/2017

Kate shopped with us recently to find the perfect veil from The Couture Veil to match her beautiful wedding gown. After an accessories consultation with us, discussing all the options, she decided on a long, waterfall, stitched edge veil in ivory.

We always love how veils photograph, but we just had to share these amazing shots from Kate’s big day which she sent to us!

If you, like Kate, would like to find your perfect veil at our Manchester bridal shop, book an accessories appointment online here. Alternatively, call 0161 637 6830 or 07410 446 062 or email us on honeyblossombridal@gmail.com

Beautiful handmade hair accessories arriving at Honeyblossom Bridal this Summer! – 19/05/2017

Our Summer is certainly hotting up! Not only are stunning new Catherine Parry wedding dresses arriving, we’re getting married, and now, we have some absolutely beautiful hair accessories arriving into our Manchester bridal shop.

We are thrilled to be working with local designer Rachel Chaprunne. We’re currently choosing the pieces which will be available to try on during wedding dress or wedding accessories appointments, and we are spoilt for choice! We will have an array of hair vines, wedding headbands, slides and headpieces for you and your party to try.

What really makes these stunning accessories stand out from the rest is the quality and design. They are handmade locally, using the finest materials, including Swarovski crystallised elements and the highest quality freshwater pearls.

Of course, to join the Honeyblossom family, the accessories would need to offer an element of customisation, and Rachel Chaprunne definitely delivers. As well as variations in crystal and pearl colour, ribbon colour and size, they also offer bespoke options to match your dress, theme or incorporating important family heirlooms.

The latest issue of Love Our Wedding magazine – read it online! – 13/04/2017

We love wedding magazines. They’re packed full of brilliant ideas, advice and inspiration for your big day. We also love that Love Our Wedding magazine is available online for free!

This month’s issue does not disappoint. We particularly enjoyed the article on page 19 – which explains everything you should know about the wedding dress buying experience. If you have more questions, why not check out our FAQs section?

We’re members on lots of the wedding Facebook groups, and often see brides asking about ordering wedding items online from overseas suppliers. Page 58 gives some real insight of this area of the industry, a must read for any bride to be considering this.

These our just our favourites, the whole magazine is full of gems – keep an eye out for two of our designers which feature throughout this issue – So Sassi and Catherine Parry.

We’re hosting a wedding dress catwalk at the Chancellors Hotel, Manchester! – 23/03/2017

We’re super thrilled to be going to the Chancellors Hotel wedding fair on Sunday 2 April. The event starts at 1pm and is free!

Our beautiful models will be strutting their stuff in a wedding dress catwalk at 4pm. We’ll be running a mini competition to win a prize so make sure you’re around! Before the catwalk you can come and speak to us on our stand where we’ll have some of our veils, customised shoes and vintage hankies – as well as some sweets to keep you going 🙂

The Chancellors Hotel has been refurbished and would make a lovely venue for any couple looking to get married in Manchester. For more details on the event, have a look here.

Girl Gets Wed – we’re featured on this fabulous wedding blog! – 10/03/2017

We are absolutely thrilled to be featured in the wonderful wedding blog – Girl Gets WedWe were interviewed as part of the ‘Supplier Edit’ and you can read the full blog here.

On the blog, you’ll also find really useful advice about all things wedding related. Michelle, behind the blog, actively adds new content to her blog so make sure you favourite the page, or you can follow them on FacebookTwitterInstagram and Pinterest!

The Bridal Roadshow, Harrogate – 17/03/2017

We enjoyed a lovely day at The Bridal Roadshow earlier this week in Harrogate. It was so nice to see our designers – Catherine Parry and MiaMia

First up, MiaMia. I was collecting a swatch of fabric for one of our brides who has fallen in love with Estelle (but with a few alterations!) MiaMia have been so helpful in this, and it’s a great reminder that just because the sample looks a certain way, doesn’t mean you can’t change the colour, neckline, add or remove buttons/embellishment. It really pays to have an open mind!

Next we were at Catherine Parry. We spent the time picking out the new styles to order into our Manchester bridal shop. Their new Sonnets collection is absolutely stunning and bang on trend – sheer fabric and colour meet the beautiful silhoettes which Catherine Parry do so well.

We’ve just placed an order for two to arrive this Summer – watch this space for the big reveal!

We’re at Cresta Court Altrincham’s wedding fayre tomorrow! – 04/03/2017

We are absolutely thrilled to be featured in the wonderful wedding blog – Girl Gets Wed. We were interviewed as part of the ‘Supplier Edit’ and you can read the full blog here.

Honeyblossom Bridal will be at Cresta Court Altrincham’s Spring wedding fayre tomorrow, ready to talk all things wedding dresses! We will also bring along some of our accessories for you to have a look at, including veils, customised shoes, belts and the perfect wedding gift – hand embroidered vintage hankies.

I’ll have my appointment diary ready for brides wanting to book – we’re so excited to meet all of you! xx

Honeyblossom Bridal hits the catwalk – 09/03/2017

Honeyblossom Bridal were at the Abode Chester’s wedding fayre at the end of February. The stand featured two of our bridal gowns, and some samples of our veils and belts.

Half way through the fayre, Honeyblossom Bridal put on a wedding dress catwalk. Our stunning gowns by GAIAMiaMia and So Sassi were modelled by our beautiful models Amy and Emily. You may recognise Emily from some of the videos we’ve been sharing across social media! Altogether we showed 14 wedding gowns, with my fiancé Dave, speaking about each of them. Here are some of the pictures – we’ll be sharing lots of video in the coming weeks so watch out for them!

Huge thanks to Dave, Amy and Emily for their hard work on the catwalk, especially Amy and Emily for keeping me calm!

If you’re a venue or wedding fayre looking to host a catwalk, please get in touch – Honeyblossom Bridal may be able to help!
